What is TruePeopleSearch?
TruePeopleSearch is a free public people-search directory that aggregates contact information from public records, including names, addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses. It is widely used by real estate investors to locate homeowner contact details quickly. Our Owner Lookup button opens TruePeopleSearch in a new tab with the owner name and zip code from the listing pre-filled in the search URL — so you land directly on the results page for that specific person rather than a blank search form.
Is owner lookup included in all plans?
Yes — the Owner Lookup button is available on every listing across all paid subscription tiers. There is no add-on or per-lookup fee. Free trial users can also use owner lookup during their trial period to evaluate the feature before upgrading to a paid plan.
How accurate is the owner contact info?
Accuracy depends on two factors: the data the source county publishes in the foreclosure filing, and TruePeopleSearch's own record coverage. Foreclosure filings are legal public records, so the owner name attached to each listing is the legal vested owner of record as of the filing date. TruePeopleSearch then attempts to match that name and zip to its contact database. In our experience, match rates are highest for filings with a full name and a specific zip code, and lower for filings with business entity names or P.O. Box addresses.
What if the owner name is missing from the listing?
Some counties do not publish owner names in their publicly available foreclosure data — they include only the property address and case number. For those listings, the Owner Lookup button is still present but will open TruePeopleSearch with only the zip code pre-filled, which returns less targeted results. Where owner names are available they are pulled automatically from the listing's owner, grantor, or defendant fields depending on which source column that data source populates.
Can I do bulk owner lookups?
Bulk owner lookup — opening TruePeopleSearch for multiple listings at once — is not currently supported because TruePeopleSearch does not provide a bulk API. Each lookup opens a single pre-filled search. For high-volume outreach workflows, consider exporting your filtered listings to CSV and then using a skip-tracing service like BatchSkipTracing or PropStream's skip-trace feature, which can process thousands of names in a single batch upload.
